Download a Transcript of City Budget Hearing, then Make a Donation
As city leaders debate ways to shave up to $45 million from the budget, it is important that we do so in an open manner. With that in mind, Alderman Antonio French (D-21st Ward) hired a court stenographer with the firm Midwest Litigation Services to transcribe last week’s Ways and Means hearing. That transcript is available here for your free download.
Although Alderman French is making this transcript available for free, it is actually very expensive to have these hearings transcribed. The bill for this 4-hour hearing (over 200 pages) is over $1,300. So if you appreciate this service and would like to see it continued, please make a donation now to help with the cost.
PLEASE GIVE $100 – $50 – $25 TO SUPPORT THIS KIND OF OPENNESS IN GOVERNMENT.
Thank you!

This is great!! You should be commended for taking this upon yourself. Residents of the 21st Ward should be proud. Would it be possible to get a copy of the original Word document though? I’d like to reformat with smaller margins and no line numbers to cut down the length significantly. Thanks a lot.
