This house costs $100,000.
It’s an affordable, green, in-fill housing concept from Philadelphia, PA.
The homes range in size from 800-1400 sq ft and have a variety customizable options.
Question is, would it work in our community?
More details about this project here.

I like the innovation. From a design standpoint, I don’t find it flawless and would not like to see a whole block with these. For single site and scattered site infill, they would be great!
Go for ANYTHING bold, ultimately. It’s better than bland/boring/sterile. St. Louis needs to have a discussion on the identity we wish to project with our new construction, and structures like this force that necessary conversation.
I would add that local companies such as EcoUrban are doing homes that have many similarities and are also affordable. Why not use local talent.
The other thing to mention is that if Paul McKee had offered up this design he would have been burned in effigy (again). Let’s home that an idea from Mr. French is received more warmly.
