The St. Louis International Film Festival will be held at venues around the city from November 2 through 12. Today we learned about 2 of the films being shown, The Experimental City and Street Fighting Men. Street Fighting Men follows 3 Detroit men affected by the collapse of the black working class, each struggling to build a life of meaning for themselves and future generations. It will play on November 11 at 3:30 pm at the Tivoli Theatre. The Experimental City tells the story of a frustrated visionary, who in the 1960’s proposed to build a pollution-free city in the Minnesota woods, but doubts and mistrust from residents and environmentalists curbed his plans before he could even begin. The Experimental City plays at the Missouri History Museum on November 12 at 1 pm. For more information on the St. Louis International Film Festival, visit http://ift.tt/19QWaL0 .
