The Legislation Committee will meet to review and discuss the following:

Board Bills

Board Bill Number 171

Introduced by Alderwoman Christine Ingrassia, Alderman John Muhammad and Alderwoman Lisa Middlebrook

An ordinance prohibiting the City of St. Louis, the offices of the City’s Collector of Revenue, Treasurer, Recorder of Deeds, License Collector, Circuit Attorney, and Sheriff, and the City’s Board of Election Commissioners from asking applicants for employment about their salary history, including wages, benefits, and any other compensation, unless otherwise provided therein; and containing a severability clause. Economic Development Tax

The committee will have a discussion with representatives from the Economic Development Tax Board and the City’s Budget Director about what monies have been spent and on which projects under the development tax, to date. This is done with a view of the possibility of legislatively improving the administration of City affairs on this matter.

Transit Oriented Development Study (TOD)

The committee will review a presentation on Metro’s new Transit Oriented Development Study (TOD Study) and how St. Louis might position itself on Northside-Southside expansion. This discussion is to be held from the view of the possibility of legislatively improving the administration of City affairs on this matter. (added Monday, December 30, 2019)
