The proposed ordinance authorizes the Building Commissioner to develop policies and promulgate rules regulating short-term rentals, as defined herein, and creates a short-term rental task force to advise and assist the Building Commissioner in developing said policies, with the purpose of promoting short-term rentals in the City, providing equal opportunity for traditional lodging providers, and preserving residential neighborhoods, that are consistent with the Revised Code of the City of St. Louis, and other applicable laws and regulations, and containing an effective date.
