The Daily Mix: William Roth, St. Louis Actors’ Studio (Aug 24, 2020)

The program is called The Daily Mix for a reason, it’s a mix of stories that represent all the happenings in the St. Louis area. You can rest assured to be “In the Know” on anything related to local arts, news, food, fitness, events, social media, and culture.

This week, Host Angella Sharpe chats with William Roth, the Artistic Director for St. Louis Actors’ Studio. He is working to help theaters in St. Louis survive during these tough times by partnering with St. Louis celebrities like Sterling K. Brown, Jon Hamm and more to initiate a fundraiser called the “Small Professional Theater Sustainment Fund.” Theaters don’t have access to PPE grants while funds have been dramatically reduced. Also in the Mix: MLS4TheLou’s unveiling of the professional soccer team’s name, crest, and colors. The Saint Louis Zoo has decided to close the Children’s Zoo area and completely reimagine that space inside the zoo. The Missouri Botanical Garden’s iconic Climatron is celebrating it’s 60th birthday. On The Run gas stations, Dirt Cheap, and Easter Seals Midwest are teaming up to raise funds for Autism through the campaign “All Stars for Autism.” Dembari Taneh was announced the winner of the 10th Annual Teen Talent Competition.
