“The Issues” is a program that explores issues facing St. Louis and offers solutions from experts and stakeholders.
Many of our local seniors face chronic illnesses that started developing early in life from our lifestyle habits. This episode of “The Issues” discusses the ways people can have a healthier life by choosing good nutrition, movement, and interaction. Host Sarah Bernard invites Dr. Susan Friedman, Professor of Medicine/Dentistry and Director of University of Rochester Medical Group, and Juliet Simone, National Health and Program Director at Oasis, to share their expertise in working with older adults. Dr. Friedman shares her focus on Lifestyle Medicine while Juliet talks about programs at Oasis helping older adults. There are lifestyle commonalities across the globe for those who age gracefully, this show hopes to bring those solutions to our community.
